Concordia's Dartball Team

Concordia was one of the original 12 founding members of the Lutheran Dart League in 1932. However, the church could only field a team for a few years, and withdrew from the league after the 1936 - 1937 season. After a 69-year absence from the league, Concordia returned for the 2006 - 2007 season and has been playing ever since.

For the 2022-23 season, the Luthean Dart League has restructured to a single Conference of two Divisions. Concordia is in Division A.
With the restructuring, All churches in the League will play against all other churches, which are:
    Concordia, Berwyn
    Christ, Clarendon Hills
    St. John, Darien
    Immanuel, Elmhurst
    St. John, Forest Park
    St. John's, Lombard
    Trinity, Roselle
    Trinity, Villa Park
    St. John, Wheaton
    Trinity, York Center

Half of the nights are played at home, and half are played at the other churches.

Dartball is open to all male members of the congregation who have been confirmed or are in Confirmation Class. Games are played on Tuesday nights from September through April. Three games are played each night of the season. Setup and practice for home games begins at 7:00pm. The first game starts promptly at 7:45pm.

Dues are $2 per night of the season. Fines of 10¢ are collected for Off-Boards, Diapers, Double Plays (20¢) and leaving a runner on third base, with a maximum of $1 per night. Dues money is used to pay the dues imposed by the league and to purchase new dart boards and darts. Money collected from fines is used to finance the "team party" at the end of the season.

Each team member is scheduled to bring "goodies" to home games once or twice per season.
